The Little Apple Seed started off as an Inktober challenge in 2020. I challenged myself to create a cute character that would be simple enough to draw each day - and this little apple seed was born!

After a few days, I really enjoyed the idea of how an apple seed changes into an apple tree and wanted to develop this character more (I was a kindergarten teacher at the time).

I created a story that parents could read to their children, and as they grew up, the children would be able to read it themselves - learning something new each time they read it!
